Women's Health

Women's health has always been close to my heart and in my work I aim to support both physical and emotional health for women.

Pregnancy_14.jpgA big part of my work with women focuses on pre- and post-natal support. Pilates for example is an excellent and safe way to exercise during and after pregnancy. Adding the Franklin Method to the work increases body awareness which is vital during and after pregnancy when the body constantly changes and adapts.

The changes in the body can sometimes lead to aches and pains. Practising Pilates and working with the Franklin Method through Pregnancy will not only help to train muscles which support and protect against such problems but will also develop skills useful during labour. The pelvic floor muscles in particular need to be both strong to support the increasing weight of the baby and flexible for labour itself. I have a whole range of dynamic pelvic floor exercises that are easy to follow every day and are also fun to do AND they train the pelvic floor for strength and flexibility.

Relaxation will be an added benefit in our sessions, may they be private sessions or classes.

Testimonial:

I did want to tell you that the pelvic floor exercises paid off - I recovered much better than with either of the first two births. C.G., Cambridge
